I’m excited to introduce you to Abi Cook, the founder of Cooks Bridal, an incredibly talented wedding content creator serving couples in Nashville, Charleston, and worldwide!
As a wedding photographer and filmmaker specializing in candid, film‑like imagery that feels both timeless and modern, I truly believe in spotlighting vendors who bring something special to a wedding day — and Abi does exactly that.
Wedding content creators capture the behind-the-scenes, candid moments in real-time, often using iPhone-based photos and videos that are perfect for social media. From getting ready giggles to the spontaneous dance floor moments, they’re there to document the raw, in-between memories you’ll want to relive the next day (and share online, of course!).
After three years in the wedding industry, Cooks Bridal has grown into a go-to source for couples who want their day documented in a way that feels authentic, emotional, and fun.

A wedding content creator is a newer type of wedding vendor that’s quickly becoming a must-have for modern couples, especially those who want to relive and share their day on social media.
Unlike traditional photographers or videographers, content creators focus on capturing the candid, behind-the-scenes moments of your wedding in real time. They typically use an iPhone to record short-form video clips and photos throughout the day, delivering them within 24 hours so you can enjoy and share them almost immediately.
Their role is to document all the fun, emotional, and unscripted parts of your day — moments that often don’t make it into the formal photo gallery or highlight film.
A wedding content creator doesn’t replace your photographer or videographer. Instead, they complement them by adding an extra layer of coverage that feels real, raw, and social-media-ready.
Let’s get into the interview with Cooks Bridal!

I’ve been in the wedding industry for three years now! My journey into this field began with a genuine love for weddings. Before this, I had freelance experience in photo and video work and created content for various businesses. I launched Cooks Bridal while planning my own wedding, initially as a way to help fund it. Around that time, I noticed wedding content was growing rapidly in major cities like LA and New York. Seeing a unique opportunity within Nashville’s thriving wedding market, I decided to jump in and build something meaningful here!!
What I love most about working with couples is getting to know them in a way that most people never get the chance to. I’m invited into one of the biggest days of their lives and being part of that is incredibly special. Getting to walk with them through the planning process and then witness their love story unfold on the wedding day is truly a wonderful and meaningful experience!
I would say bold colors! I think it is so fun that brides are starting to implement more fun colors into their wedding day. It makes everything turn out so beautiful and unique!
One thing couples don’t always realize is how much a wedding content creator can be an incredible asset to your media team. Instead of relying on your bridal party and family to capture the candid, behind-the-scenes moments, you have someone dedicated to getting all of that additional coverage for you. From the sweet, unscripted memories to the fun social-media trends you’ll want to look back on, I make sure it’s all documented — and delivered within 24 hours so you can relive your wedding day the very next day. It allows you to stay fully present, keep your phone down, and genuinely experience every moment.
The biggest things to look for are their content, deliverables, experience, personality, and mutual connections. You want someone with strong content experience so your day is captured beautifully and seamlessly. Make sure their deliverables align with what you need and how you want to relive your wedding. Their personality matters too — you should genuinely click with your vendor team since you spend so much time together on your wedding day. And having mutuals or shared vendor connections is a great sign they’re professional, experienced, and work well within a media team.
My dream wedding vibe is one that feels authentic, joyful, and full of emotion! I love weddings that are vibrant and expressive, whether that’s through bold design choices, intimate candid moments, or unique personal touches.
I want couples to know that I’m basically your professional hype girl. I’m genuinely passionate about creating content and being part of one of the biggest days of someone’s life. Being chosen to capture those moments is such a blessing, and I take that honor seriously. I love cheering couples on, capturing the joy, and documenting all the little candid moments that make the day so special. For me, it’s not just work — it’s a privilege to be a part of something so meaningful.
INCREDIBLE! Working with you Sammy is always such a joy. You are such a girls girl and the day is always so much fun with you there!!! And you are seriously so TALENTED!! Like wow jaw on the floor work so so good. I am so proud of you!

One of the most common questions couples ask is: “If I already have a photographer and videographer, do I really need a wedding content creator too?”
We all bring something different to your day, and when done right, we work beautifully together.
While your photographer and videographer focus on polished, high-resolution visuals (like posed portraits, cinematic shots, and key moments like your ceremony or first dance), a wedding content creator captures the real-time, behind-the-scenes magic.
Think:
A great content creator knows how to work around your photo/video team without stepping on toes. Instead of duplicating their job, they enhance your coverage, giving you those candid memories quickly!

Having worked as a photographer and videographer focused on candid, film‑style wedding photos, I deeply appreciate what a content creator like Cooks Bridal brings to the table.
If you’re still deciding whether to add a content creator to your vendor team, here are a few questions to ask yourself (and your potential vendor):
If your answer is “yes” to even a few of these, you might want to consider hiring a content creator.
Cooks Bridal is doing amazing work as a wedding content creator in Nashville (and beyond), and I’m proud to highlight them on my blog. If you’re looking for a creative, joyful, and experienced wedding content creator to capture your day, Cooks Bridal might be exactly what you need. As a Nashville film wedding photographer and videographer, I’m here to capture every laugh, tear, dance move, and hug on your wedding day! If you want beautiful and authentic imagery, I’d love to chat with you!
